8:01 a.m. Update: Building a total loss

Inspectors from the Green Bay Fire Department are likely to be on the scene all day, seeking clues to the origins of the fire that destroyed a 17-unit apartment building on the UW-Green Bay campus. University officials say the building at 3334 Walter Way, also known as Building 109, is a total loss. The loss is estimated in excess of $3 million.

Responders quickly determined the units were unoccupied.
